With radios and music television playing mostly cover songs, one has to crave for original music.
A little over two days ago I found the white hope I've been looking for and it is the album Gabi Na. This is the brainchild of the man who made the infectious hit Tulad Ng Dati. His name is Gabriel Guevarra. This musical genius came out with 12 original songs fused with RnB and a pinch of alternative pop.
If there is one adjective to describe the album it would be "hypnotic". Listening to the album sets you in a trance from the first song to the last one. It really amazes me how this dude adds emotions in upbeat songs which is really hard to do even by foreign acts and it is all embodied in the song Love Me Too. It has the upbeat RnB feel with a really good story to tell.
It may sound awkward but I compare this song to the WrestleMania match of Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. It has the solid melody and the story which a true fan would understand. Notable tracks here are Maghihintay, Hindi Na and Sweeter. If you want to hear something new and worth listening to then Gabi Na is the album for you.
